Terms of Service

Last updated 27 August 2026

These terms apply when you download or use Ghillie, or use the ghillie.dev website. Ghillie is operated by Good Analysis ("we", "us"). By using Ghillie you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your licence to use Ghillie

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Ghillie on Macs you own or control. Ghillie is currently free to try; we may introduce paid tiers in future, and if we do, the pricing and what it covers will be clearly stated before you pay anything.

You agree not to:

  • Resell, sublicense or redistribute Ghillie, or offer it as a service to others.
  • Reverse engineer or modify the app, except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Use Ghillie to break the law, to harm others, or to interfere with anyone else's systems or data.

Ghillie acts on your say-so

Ghillie is designed to show you what it is about to do and wait for your approval before anything real happens: sending, buying, deleting, changing. When you approve an action, you are the one taking it. You are responsible for the actions you approve and for reviewing them before saying yes, just as you would be if you had done them by hand.

AI can be wrong

Ghillie is powered by AI models, and AI models make mistakes. Its answers can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and its suggestions are not professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or other advice that matters without checking with a qualified human. Use your judgement, especially before approving anything consequential.

Third-party services

When Ghillie calls AI providers or other services on your behalf, your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Where a service requires your own account or API key, keeping that account in good standing is your responsibility. Our Privacy Policy explains what data is involved.

Your content and data

Everything you tell Ghillie and everything it produces for you is yours. It lives on your Mac and we claim no rights over it. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you give it to work with, and for keeping your own backups; local-first means the only copy is the one on your machine.

No warranty

Ghillie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular task.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Ghillie. Our total liability for any claim relating to Ghillie is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free app is nothing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending things

You can stop using Ghillie at any time by deleting the app; since your data is on your machine, that is the whole process. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Ghillie evolves. When we do, we will update this page and the date at the top, and call out material changes in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Ghillie after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the consumer law of your home country gives you additional protections or venue rights.
