The Mac app
Last updated 10 September 2026
The Mac app is where Ghillie lives. Every other channel is a way of reaching it; approvals, credentials and memory stay here.
One brain, many doors
Telegram and Microsoft Teams are transports. They carry your words to Ghillie Core on your Mac and carry the answer back. They do not own conversations, Powers, memory or approvals. If you close Telegram, nothing about Ghillie changes.
What only the app does
- Approvals. Exact-effect reviews are confirmed in the app (or from Telegram's buttons). Teams cannot approve anything yet.
- Credentials. Settings › Credentials is the only place a secret is added, rotated or revoked, and it is bound to the Mac you are sitting at.
- Powers. Switches, drafting, testing and promotion happen on the Powers screen.
- Boards. Projects and their kanban boards are native views.
Running on two Macs
Ghillie can run on more than one Mac, for instance a desktop that is always on and a laptop that travels. The Macs share one memory and one route order. Whichever Mac currently holds a channel's route handles its messages, and you can promote a different Mac from the channel itself:
/status active and preferred device, fallback order, runtime readiness
/route show the redundant route
/route pro promote a device already in the route orderAttachments are portable across the route: each Mac keeps its own content-addressed, SHA-256-verified copy, so switching devices never loses a file.
